Set five-day schedule: Tuesday to Saturday.

Compensation

$70,000–$120,000 per year, as advertised.

About the Role

La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries Vancouver Island is seeking a positive, dynamic and results-driven Sales / Store Manager for its Nanaimo location. The role involves leading and coaching an award-winning team, managing the day-to-day sales floor and maximizing sales results while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop store employees.
  • Create and nurture a strong store culture that supports high-performing, engaged employees.
  • Monitor customer flow and manage the day-to-day functions of the sales floor.
  • Maximize sales results while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Analyze results, set clear goals and help the store and sales team achieve them.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Five years of management experience required.
  • Retail Store Manager experience preferred.

Skills & Requirements

  • Strong leadership abilities and a desire to lead and coach.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of retail store operations, merchandising and customer service.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, follow-up and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient computer and technology skills.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Professional dress and appearance.
  • Ability to work in person in Nanaimo, British Columbia.
